Myna is built on a simple principle: your conversations are yours. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your data to external servers — ever.
Myna ("we", "our", "the app") is a macOS application developed by Ashwin Nair. This Privacy Policy explains how Myna handles information when you use the application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to all versions of Myna distributed through the Mac App Store.
Myna is designed to function entirely on-device. We do not operate servers that receive, process, or store your data. The app has no user accounts and requires no sign-in.
Myna requests access to the following system resources. All data accessed remains on your device at all times.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time via System Settings → Privacy & Security. Revoking a permission will disable the associated feature but will not affect the rest of the app.
Myna does not collect, transmit, or process the following:
Meeting transcripts and AI-generated summaries are stored in an on-device database using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is stored in your Mac's sandboxed application container and is protected by macOS's standard file system security.
If you enable iCloud Drive for Myna in System Settings, macOS may sync this data to iCloud as part of standard system behavior. This sync is controlled entirely by Apple's iCloud service and your macOS settings — Myna does not initiate or manage it.
To permanently delete all data stored by Myna, simply delete the application from your Mac. You may also delete individual meeting records from within the app at any time.
Myna uses Apple's FoundationModels framework to generate meeting summaries. This framework is part of Apple Intelligence and runs entirely on your device using Apple Silicon. No data is sent to Apple's servers or any third-party AI service for summarization.

Myna is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. As Myna collects no user data whatsoever, there is no data to collect from any age group.
Myna does not integrate with or transmit data to any third-party services, APIs, or platforms. The only external framework used for intelligence features is Apple's own on-device FoundationModels (Apple Intelligence), which operates locally.
Distribution of Myna through the Mac App Store is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy, which you can read at apple.com/legal/privacy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and — for significant changes — notify users via an in-app notice or App Store release notes.
Continued use of Myna after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Because Myna does not collect or store any personal data on external servers, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. All data generated by Myna resides locally on your device and is entirely under your control.
If you are a resident of the European Union (GDPR), California (CCPA), or any other jurisdiction with privacy regulations, our data practices — collecting nothing and storing everything locally — are fully compliant by design.
